Dr. Larry M. Dooley

Dr. Larry M. Dooley is Associate Professor and Chair of the Human Resource Development (HRD) Program in the Department of Educational Administration and Human Resource Development (EAHRD) at Texas A&M University. The HRD Program includes specialization areas of distance learning, training and development, career development, organizational development and workforce development. The HRD Program offers degrees at the undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels. The undergraduate and masters degrees are approved to be delivered completely at a distance.

Dr. Dooley is President and Chairman of the Board of the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD). Additionally he serves as on the Board of the Academy of Human Resource Development Foundation. AHRD is an international organization of over 1,000 members that encourages the systematic study of human resource development theories, processes, and practices; disseminates information about HRD, encourages the application of HRD research findings, and provides opportunities for interaction among individuals with scholarly and professional interests in HRD from multiple disciplines and from across the globe. Although there are members representing many differing cultures, AHRD has formal chapters in the United States, Europe, South Africa, India, and Southeast Asia.

Dr. Dooley's research interests are in integration of distance learning into organizations for performance improvement, leadership development, foundations of human resource development, and organization development.
