Dr. Kim E. Dooley
Kim E. Dooley is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural
Education at Texas A&M University. She completed her PhD in 1995 in
Educational Human Resource Development (Training and Development) with a
specialization in distance learning. Her faculty position includes the
professional development of faculty, staff, and students for the conversion
of materials into distance education formats. She has conducted training
programs for the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation in Agriculture
(Costa Rica), the International Potato Center (Peru), Fort Sam Houston, the
University of Arkansas, the University of Northern Arizona, Central Texas
College, Tarleton University, and Stephen F. Austin University, as well as
management of numerous grant projects, presentations or workshops at
national and international conferences. Dr. Dooley's teaching and research
specialization is diffusion of distance education technologies and
evaluation of telecommunications as a teaching/learning tool.
Her
publications include a book coming out in 2005 entitled Advanced Methods
in Distance Education: Applications and Practices for Educators,
Administrators, and Learners. She has served on many university/system
committees and advisory boards, including the American Distance Education
Consortium International Taskforce. She was also the 1999 recipient of the
Montague Teaching Scholar Award and the 2002 International Excellence Award
at Texas A&M University. She is an active member of the American
Association of Agriculture Education and the Association for International
Agricultural and Extension Education.
