Dr. James R. Lindner
James R. Lindner is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Education at Texas A&M University. He has an MBA from Auburn University and a Ph.D. from Ohio State University in Human and Community Resource Development with a specialization in Human Resource Management and is certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute with a Professional in Human Resource (PHR) designation. Dr. Lindner teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses (on-campus and distance), including an undergraduate course in human resource management. He has authored or coauthored more than 70 articles and papers and two textbooks including the text Human Resource Management in Local Government: Concepts and Applications for HRM Students and Practitioners. He has over ten years of human resource management/development consulting experience with a variety of for profit and local governments organizations. He has received a number of awards for his training and research. In additional to his research and teaching activities, Dr. Lindner collaborates with The TECH Training Group and Ellis-Harper Management on an assortment of human resource management/development consulting and training programs. He has consulted on a range of human resource management/develop topics including: technology mediated training programs; orientation, training, and development; performance appraisal systems; compensation systems; and management training.
